Reading day celebration “Vayanavaragosham –
2018” was organized by Department of English and College Library on 20th
June 2018 in college conference hall. The programme was inaugurated by Jb. T.M
Zakeer Hussain, Treasurer, MES College Marampally Managing Committee. He
stressed the importance of reading in the present day among youth. The
programme was presided over by Dr. A. Biju, Principal, MES College Marampally.
He strongly emphasized the Bacon’s ideology reading maketh a full man and
conference a ready man. Rajeev Alunkal, famous poet and lyricist delivered the keynote address. His talk revolved around folk paradigms in
language as well as evolution of culture through language. Dr. Bindu Jamal,
HOD, Department of English, Dr. Mansoor Ali P.P, IQAC Coordinator, Mr. Murugan R, HOD, Department of Computer
Application, Mrs. Shereena V.B, Staff Secretary, Dr. Sopna V. Muhammed, HOD,
Department of Business Administration, Mrs. Rafeekamol C.A, HOD, Department of
Commerce, Mr. Muhammed Shereef, Office Superintendent felicitated the function
with their aflaming words. Mr. Abdul
Jamal K.M, College Librarian and Mr. T.S Sanjayan Assistant Professor,
Department of English delivered the welcome address and proposed the vote of
thanks respectively.
