FDP on “Identifying Quality Journals for Publishing your Articles”

College Library in association with Research Promotion Council of MES College Marampally organized a Faculty Development Programme on the topic Identifying Quality Journals for Publishing your Articles for the faculty members of our College on 17^th August, 2022 at 1.30pm at Main Block Conference Hall.

 The seminar was welcomed by Mr. K.M. Abdul Jamal, Librarian MES College Marampally. It was presided by honorable Vice Principal, Dr. Jasmine P.M. Felicitations were by Sri. Sharafudheen C M, Joint Secretary (Staff Association). Dr. Surendran Cherukodan, Assistant Librarian, Cochin University of Science and Technology was the resource person. He mentioned about the role of research in an academic institutions. Quality research leads to quality teaching and learning process in the classroom. In very simple words, he explained how we could select a quality journal for publishing our papers. He also described the various metrics used for evaluating the quality of a journal like Impact Factor, h-index etc. About 75 faculty members from various departments attended the programme. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Jaseena K.U, Coordinator, Research Promotion Council.
