BASHEER ANUSMARANAM

As a part of Vaikom Muhammad Basheer 27th Death Anniversary. Readers Forum and College Library, MES College, Marampally organized a programme session for providing an awareness to the students about the Importance of great poet Vaikom Muhammad Basheer and his works. The Programme was held on 5^th July, 2021 at 10.30 a.m in Google meet platform. Around 100 students participated and benefitted.

Sri. K.M Abdul Jamal, College Librarian delivered the welcome address. Dr. Manzur Ali P P, Principal MES College Maramapally presided over the function. The programme was inaugurated by Sri. Anees Basheer,  S/o  Vaikom Muhammad Basheer.   Sri. Pramod Payyannur, Film Director (Writer of Balyakalasakhi) delivered the keynote address.           Dr. Jasmine P.M, IQAC Coordinator, Dr. Bindu Jamal, HOD, Department of English,         Sri. Sharafudheen C.A, HOD, Department of Arabic, Smt. Amina Rehana M. Ashraf, Coordinator of Readers Forum  felicitated the function.  

The Programme mainly focused on the importance of Great Poet Vaikom Mohammed Basheer and his works review session (Works of Vaikom Muhammad Basheer). The webinar session concluded by review session related to the work of Vaikom Mohammed Basheer and each student described the works of Vaikom Muhammad Basheer in a very good way. The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Naveen Jolly (Students Coordinator).
